To port is a double quarter berth.

I expect to make some modifications
for storage and privacy
if I'm going to be at home in this part of the boat.

That old radio is long gone.
Here's a picture of the new one.

On the starboard side was
a small quarter berth.

A huge holding tank used to take up the entire space under the berth. That was all changed
as part of the Head projects.

Here's how it looks in January 2004.

This was on my project list since the day I bought the boat, and I'm very pleased with it.

Full details on the New Nav Station page.

I built
new cabinets, and lined the quarterberth
with mahogany
.

In 2009 it got
new cushions.

The companionway steps were rebuilt,
so they also serve as tool boxes.

Also, lots of
storage pockets have been added, as well as a bookshelf.

When it's rainy, this sunbrella "hanging locker" provides a nice place to keep
wet outerwear,
so the inside of the boat doesn't get as wet.
